Carson Leaves Owls Post

Ashley Carson is the latest high-profile, behind-the-scenes departure from S6, the club have announced today.

A number of departures, including former chairman Dave Allen and former chief executive Kaven Walker, have left Hillsborough in recent months, with a new regime taking control of the club.

And Carson, who has overseen the Owls Academy during his time at the club, has followed suit.

A club statement read: 'The board of Sheffield Wednesday PLC announces that Ashley Carson, who for more than four years has overseen the Sheffield Wednesday Football Academy, has decided to step down from this role in the light of all the other management changes that are ongoing within the club.

'Ashley has served the Academy and the club well over the years through his close involvement with the teams and he leaves with the thanks and gratitude of the board and others associated with the club.'

The club have also restructured football operations at S6 following the announcement, revealing that all football matters will report directly to the main board.
