Laws Targets Three Points

Wednesday boss Brian Laws has targetted maximum points when Neil Warnock brings his Crystal Palace side to Hillsborough today.

The Owls are keen to bounce back from two defeats on the spin, and victory over the Eagles would see Wednesday leapfrog their opponents in the league table.

But although Warnock will be looking for maximum points to help his Palace side up the table, Laws knows there will be extra bite from his counterpart today, given his background with Sheffield United.

'It's not going to be easy against Neil Warnock's team, he is obviously not going to be doing Sheffield Wednesday any favours so it will be tough. We have to make sure we almost treat it like a derby,' Laws told www.swfc.co.uk.

'I wouldn't say this is a typical Neil Warnock side that get up the field and in your face. What he's done at Palace is play some of the younger players, quality players that have come through.

'They have shown inconsistency this season, just as every other team has, and they will be disappointed as I'm sure they're aiming at the play-offs. But this is a winnable game.'

The Owls picked up a creditable point in the reverse fixture at Selhurst Park earlier in the season and more points against Warnock today would give Owls' fans even more joy.
