Owls' Watson Out For The Season

Wednesday midfielder Steve Watson will play no further part in the Owls' season after undergoing an operation on a hip injury.

Watson has been absent in recent matches and the injury has seen his appearances limited this season, meaning the experienced midfielder has taken the decision to have an operation to prevent any further injury.

Owls boss Brian Laws told www.swfc.co.uk: 'Steve will be out for the rest of the season. He could no longer take the pain and, having seen the surgeon, it was decided that immediate action was necessary.'

The 34-year-old's absence will be a big blow for Brian Laws as the season comes towards its 'business end'.

Hope not. Maybe his playing days are numbered but seems like the kind of bloke you'd want around involved in some coaching capacity
SuperOwls
yeah maybe but that gets said about every old git that pulls on the blue n white of sheffield

As much as I like Watson, he'd have to be on a 'pay as you play' deal for next season, surely?
