Sodje Scores On Wednesday Return

Owls striker Akpo Sodje made a welcome return to action for the reserve side and scored the winner in their 1-0 victory over Mansfield on Tuesday.

The former Port Vale striker has endured an injury-ravaged season in the blue and white stripes since the opening day of the season against Burnley.

And Owls boss Brian Laws has revealed that he won't be rushing the powerful hitman back as he looks to ease Sodje back into action.

It started with 45 minutes for the Owls as they entertained Mansfield Town in a reserve fixture on Tuesday, and Akpo obliged with the winner on 38 minutes as he played the first half of the win.

Left-back Peter Gilbert also completed the full 90 minutes, while Wade Small and Luke Boden also featured.
