Boro and Blackburn Linked With Spurr

Boro and Blackburn Linked With Spurr

Fans' favourite Tommy Spurr has been the target of interest from Premier League duo Middlesbrough and Blackburn according reports in today's papers.

Transfer gossip in the tabloids is hardly the most reliable source of information, but we'll be treating it as a case of 'no smoke without fire' for the report from today's Daily Star.

Spurr has enjoyed another top-drawer campaign in the blue and white stripes, making himself almost one of the first down on Brian Laws' team-sheet on matchday.

And the defender has been slapped with a £2m price tag according to the report, with Owls' boss Brian Laws keen to fight off any interest in the youngster.

Spurr, sponsored by Vital Sheffield Wednesday for his home kit, has already been subject of interest from Championship rivals Q.P.R..

But it now looks like that interest has spread to the elite competition in football, and the interest could be set to grow over the pre-season.
