Sodje Nets For Owls Reserves

Striker Akpo Sodje continued his return to full fitness by scoring as the Owls were held to a 2-2 draw in their reserve clash against Macclesfield Town.

The former Port Vale man has been back involved with the first team as a substitute in recent matches.

But Brian Laws has requested to see the powerful frontman involved in reserve team action, and Sodje continued his step up with a goal and an encouraging performance against Town at Hillsborough.

Sodje had given the Owls the advantage, while youngster Rocky Lekaj also found the back of the net as the hosts were twice pegged back to settle for a share of the spoils.

John Rooney and Danny Thomas got the goals for the visitors, as new reserve team manager John Dungworth had to settle for a draw at S6.

Frank Simek also stepped up his return to full fitness with 90 minutes under his belt, while Richard Hinds and Wade Small also featured in the draw.
