Owls Linked With Imp

Lincoln City's French striker Dany N'Guesson is the latest name to be linked with a move to Hillsborough.

Reports suggest that Wednesday boss Brian Laws was in the crowd during the Imps' 1-0 defeat to Darlington last night - keeping his eye on the French hitman.

Laws has already been quoted as saying that he's in the market to bring in a striker and winger on loan, as well as revealing he's already looking towards his squad next season.

And N'Guesson could well fit the bill for Laws' recruits - a player from the lower divisions who's eager to prove his worth at a higher level.

The Frenchman was highly rated as a youngster, opting to join Glasgow Rangers from Auxerre despite interest from Spanish giants Valencia and Manchester City.

And N'Guesson will be keen to move up the football pyramid after being given a chance to re-kindle his career with Lincoln in recent seasons.

The Auxerre youth product can play on both wings and also as an attacker, scoring eight league goals in 32 starts so far this season.

But Laws could well face Premier League competition in the race for his signature, with Hull City, Wigan and West Brom all said to be interested.

8 goals out of 32 starts doesn't sound like an answer to our goal scoring problems.

We have a conditional 20+ goal a season striker in the current team and his name is Marcus Tudgay. If he stays with us and doesn't get injured next term, I bet he can score 20+.

Don't forget Laws knows what he's doing in the transfer market guys. To an extent I'd pretty much trust his judgement with anyone. If he sees something that can add to our squad I'm happy to support it - if that means Marlon Harewood or this N'Guessan fella then fair enough. Here's a random name I think could make the step up in divisions: Simeon Jackson. Any thoughts on that?

i thought both Di Piedi and Ndumbu were quite good in their time here. the problem was they didnt get much chance to prove themselves and the rest of the team were playing that bad its hard to look good
