No New Signings For Wednesday

Wednesday boss Brian Laws has revealed that the recent loan addition of Derby's Luke Varney will be his last bit of transfer business this season.

Laws brought the former Charlton attacker in on loan until the end of the season to cover for injuries to Akpo Sodje, Leon Clarke and Michael Gray.

But the Wednesday gaffer has revealed to the Sheffield Star that he'll be relying on his current squad to see the Owls through until the end of the season -with no new additions planned.

'We've got players coming back, and we don't really really need any more coming in,' Laws told the Star.

Sodje and Clarke are both expected to be fit and ready for the Owls' next clash, at Norwich City a week on Saturday, while Gray also isn't far off a return.

And Laws could also be tempted to play some of his younger guns to let them prove their worth if and when Wednesday are mathematically safe.
