UK 3 Peaks Sponsorship

The pre-season brings a time of rest, a time of recuperation, but for one Vital Sheffield Wednesday writer it means walking the UK 3 Peaks!

This May, myself and a crack team of athletes, one other Owl included, will be walking the highest peaks in each of England, Scotland and Wales.

Namely, Scafell Pike, Ben Nevis and Snowdon.

As if that wasn't enough we're trying to do it in 24 hours.

The charity we're doing it for is the Everyman Campaign, a branch of Cancer Research dedicated to male cancers.

It's the first time I've done such a thing, and it's probably going to be the last on this scale, so I make no apologies for looking to get sponsorship for our charity through Vital - I know you're all a friendly bunch!

Big thanks go to those who've already sponsored us from the Vital forum, much appreciated! We're still a way off our target so we're looking for an extra boost with donations!

We're a mixed bunch - two Owls fans will be doing it, as well as a Barnsley fan, two Oldham fans, and an Arsenal/Oldham/Wednesday fan (I won't go into that one).

Needless to say us Owls will be looking to leave the rest in our shadow as we strike to the top of each peak!

I'm sure most of us know someone who has been affected by cancer - our driver was one who was lucky, unfortunately his best friend wasn't so lucky.

You're help is much appreciated - it's for a great cause and as I say, it's probably the first and last time I'll be doing such a thing on a big scale so I'd be greatful for as much sponsorship as possible!

Thanks!
