Oliver To Twist Or Stick?

Academy player Vadaine Oliver has impressed in recent weeks for both the academy and reserve teams. Could he be the next youngster to break in to the first team at Hillsborough?

The seventeen-year-old is a centre-back by trade but has been impressing as a makeshift striker, also chipping in with a few goals (most recently against Sheffield United reserves.)

The local youngster definitely has all the physical attributes to play up front. His composure may need working on, but this is to be expected from a defender playing up front.

Goals for the academy against Crewe and Middlesbrough have shown that Oliver may have the potential to be the next Paul Warhurst, if his switch up front is to be made permanent.

Oliver, has been with the Owls from a young age, after initially being spotted playing for local junior side Porter FC.

Despite Brian Laws` insistence on a good finish from the Owls it may be in his mind to give some of the youngsters a chance to show off their abilities. Oliver has impressed sufficiently in recent weeks, and could be heading that list alongside the likes of Max Wragg.
