Owls Announce Ticket Reductions

Wednesday have announced reduced season ticket prices for Owls fans for next season - but not as reduced as some fans may have hoped for.

Chairman Lee Strafford had promised reductions on tickets to get the fans back to Hillsborough for next season - but the reductions have already been met with mixed reactions.

Season tickets have been reduced throughout for next season, with under-8's getting a free season ticket in the North Stand or Kop when accompanied by a full paying adult, while over-80's also get in free in the North or the Kop.

Renewing season ticket holders will be subject to the best savings, with an adult ticket in the Kop costing £333, South Stand £468 and North Stand £405.

The club have also brought back student season prices, starting at £184 with an NUS card, but the under-21 scheme has been scrapped.

Strafford told www.swfc.co.uk: 'In creating our season ticket packages for the 2009/10 season our aim has been to provide a good variety of options from affordable right through to premium offerings.

He added: 'I urge Wednesdayites to come together by committing to new season tickets and helping us achieve our collective goals.'

Season ticket holders will also be able to purchase a new home shirt for the reduced price at £25 as well as get a free copy of the forthcoming derby double DVD.
