Tudgay Named Owls' Player Of The Year

Wednesday's leading goalscorer Marcus Tudgay has been named the club's player of the year at the end of season gala dinner at Hillsborough last night.

The former Derby County hitman has been in exceptional form all season, and took home two honours from the night - the other being the goal of the season for his screamer which won the Sheffield derby at Bramall Lane.

'I feel as though I've put in a good shift this season, I'm pleased with my performances, work rate and achievements,' Tudgay told www.swfc.co.uk following the awards.

Goalkeeper Lee Grant, linked with a move to numerous Premier League clubs thanks to his performances this season, picked up the players' player of the year gong.

Youngster Luke Boden, who has made his biggest breakthrough to the first team this season, took the young player of the year award.
