Laws Laments Owls' Missed Chances

Wednesday boss Brian Laws was left with a feeling of disappointment despite the Owls picking up a share of the spoils at Bristol City on Saturday.

Darren Potter's 88th minute free-kick grabbed Wednesday a point in their final away match of the campaign at Ashton Gate.

But the Owls boss felt his side should have returned to S6 with more to show for their efforts - had they taken their chances.

'I am a little disappointed because I thought we had the chances to win the game. We could have had five or six in the end,' he told www.swfc.co.uk.

He continued: 'I think we tried to walk the ball in at times rather than hit the target. Leon Clarke could have almost had a Burnley on his hands.'

But Laws was delighted at the quality that Potter produced to grab the goal that lifted Wednesday back into the top half of the Championship.

He continued: 'He's placed it into the back of the net and that was a bit of quality on his behalf.'
