Owls To Go Out On A High?

Large numbers of travelling Cardiff fans and low ticket prices mean the Hillsborough crowd on Sunday could be a record breaker.

Here are the numbers, stats fans:

The final match last season: the stadium rocked to the sound of 36208 Owls and Canaries. How Wednesday would love a repeat of that 4-1 scoreline (Burton, Clarke and Sahar netting) over Norwich City.

The largest crowd at Hillsborough this season: 30441 fans saw the first part of the record breaking double victory over our dear rivals from across town, Steve Watson sending the Owls fans into raptures with the only goal.. but what a goal it was.

The largest crowd in the Championship this season: 33079 as Wolves edged past Derby at Pride Park with a late Andy Keogh goal.

The largest crowd outside the Premiership this season: 33580 at Elland Road for the encounter between crowned champions Leicester and L**ds.

With extra seats released for both home and away fans (supplementing the initial issue of 3500 for the Bluebirds), and the crucial nature of the clash re: Cardiff City's playoff hopes, it's going to be a massive day in more ways than one.

I wouldnt really call 5,000 a 'massive' following pfl. How are you feeling about sunday? i've heard that Palace have about 7 first teamers out. A win should be a formality for you. I think Warnocks already coming out with the excuses before he's even lost the game.

According to the official site, currently 6% of the stadium is left to fill. With the walk up on the day, it'll be packed.

PFL being a tool as usual. Ok so its nailed on that you are going up, but its almost certainly going to be a short stay so dont get too comfortable. I just cant wait for the excuses this time and wonder who it will that will be getting sued ? I know, it will be the ball boy for not returning the ball quick enough.

wouldn't say nailed on but as fans you have to enjoy these moments i'm sure you lot would be the same if the table woz turned. By the way we competed in 06/07 in the prem and went down on GD and an illegal player that should have never been fielded. For the record skeg-pig if we do go up and straight back down we will be 60m richer -- 'happy days'!! also i reckon grant would make a great no2 to kenny if we did go up. jesus i'm bricking it, don't believe everything you hear about palace fielding a patched up side, typical NW tactics is that

At the end of the day PFL I DO NOT CARE what you have to say, let alone what goes on at S2. All I am bothered about is what happens at my own club, maybe you shoud be doing the same instead of being on here all the time. Palace have nothing to play for, and having Colin as their manager, so they will more than likely "roll over" and give in.
