'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Our Player Of The Season!

The polls are closed, the votes have been counted and, at last, it's time to announce the results of 'Vital SWFC Player Of The Season'.

Vital SWFC forum members thought long and hard about the merits of our star players this season, and it was a tough task to find a winner. Three players stood out above all others and each had their merits. So, without further ado, in traditional reverse order (though the picture above SHOULD have given the game away by now?!)...

In 3rd place, with 23% of the vote - Tommy Spurr. One of the first names on the team sheet for Brian Laws this year. A great performance from the youngster.

In 2nd place, with 31% of the vote - Lee Grant. Another excellent season for last year's winner.

In 1st place, with 43% of the vote, the winner is:

Marcus Tudgay - Wednesday's leading scorer, and leading award winner this season, grabs another gong. Here are a couple of thoughts from the forum:

'I know quite a few players have had a good season, but it HAS to be Tudders this season, he has been our outstanding performer. Gives 100% in every game. and he gave us all the highlight of our season with his goal against the Piggies. Tudders for me.' - Gormo

'Tudgay - works so hard for the team and I think it's great he is getting goals. He was an unsung hero last season and has followed it up this season with important goals, scored a magical goal against United as well and generally will do anything for the team.' - Sync

Congratulations Marcus, from all at Vital SWFC: more of the same next season and Wednesday will be right up there with the best.

Stay tuned for our Goal Of The Season poll, coming soon. Will Marcus win again?

Can't argue with that. Well deserved and well done to the other two and the rest of the team and management for a good season!
will it ever happen

Just think, bfl, if you'd had someone score as many as Tudgay, you might just have made automatic promotion.

Why do you bother Pigforlife?? I come on here to read other 'sensible' Wednesdayite opinions about the club i support and nearly every time i do so you are on here acting like a c#*k and making ridiculous remarks. Either you are a 10 year old kid with nothing better to do, who goes to school the following day boasting to all his 'mates' that he was 'yet again' slagging off a load of Owls fans, or and i fear this could be more to the point, you are a grown man and an extremeley sad individual that craves some sort of attention and the only possible way you can get that attention is by doing what you do on here... anonomously. For christ sakes, get a life!! To all my fellow Owls fans that come on this site for a reason, is it really worth entertaining this idiots comments all the time?? Just ignore the fool and maybe, just maybe, he'll crawl back under the stone from where he came!?

Truly well deserved. He has been our best, most reliable and influential player throughout the season. Same again next season, please Marcus.

Well done to Tudders, really excellent throughout the season. As for them making the Premier, we'll look forward to 6 easy points again next season
