The polls are closed, the votes have been counted and, at last, it's time to announce the results of 'Vital SWFC Player Of The Season'.
Vital SWFC forum members thought long and hard about the merits of our star players this season, and it was a tough task to find a winner. Three players stood out above all others and each had their merits. So, without further ado, in traditional reverse order (though the picture above SHOULD have given the game away by now?!)...
In 3rd place, with 23% of the vote - Tommy Spurr. One of the first names on the team sheet for Brian Laws this year. A great performance from the youngster.
In 2nd place, with 31% of the vote - Lee Grant. Another excellent season for last year's winner.
In 1st place, with 43% of the vote, the winner is:
Marcus Tudgay - Wednesday's leading scorer, and leading award winner this season, grabs another gong. Here are a couple of thoughts from the forum:
'I know quite a few players have had a good season, but it HAS to be Tudders this season, he has been our outstanding performer. Gives 100% in every game. and he gave us all the highlight of our season with his goal against the Piggies. Tudders for me.' - Gormo
'Tudgay - works so hard for the team and I think it's great he is getting goals. He was an unsung hero last season and has followed it up this season with important goals, scored a magical goal against United as well and generally will do anything for the team.' - Sync
Congratulations Marcus, from all at Vital SWFC: more of the same next season and Wednesday will be right up there with the best.
Stay tuned for our Goal Of The Season poll, coming soon. Will Marcus win again?
