Tudgay Wins PFA Award

Tudgay Wins PFA Award

Wednesday striker Marcus Tudgay has continued his successful year in the blue and white by winning the PFA Fans' Player of the Year for the Championship.

The Owls' top scorer, with 14 goals this season, has already bagged the monthly honour for February and March after enjoying a superb end to the campaign.

And fans of Championship clubs have shown their appreciation of the former Derby man's qualities by voting Tudgay the player of the year in the division.

Tudgay told www.swfc.co.uk: 'It is fantastic to win another award, especially one that is recognised nationally.'

The striker has won a whole host of awards for his performances and goals throughout 2008-09, including the Vital Sheffield Wednesday Player of the Season award - and he's also in line to take the goal of the season accolade, too.
