Bischoff Loan Deal Extended

Owls boss Paul Sturrock has made it two out of two today after he added to the loan extension of 'keeper Scott Carson by agreeing a deal with Manchester City to keep defender Mikkel Bischoff until the end of the campaign.

Bischoff had been ruled out for 2-3 weeks after suffering an injury in the 0-0 draw with Burnley at the weekend. Specialists have said he will be available for the final few games - which comes as a huge boost to Sturrock.

Sturrock told the official SWFC site: 'We had to get a specialist to look at Mikkel and he's quite confident he will be available for the Brighton or Reading games. With Woody and Diallo struggling we didn't want to leave ourselves with a lack of numbers defensively.'

The Danish defender's arrival has coincided with an upturn in for at Hillsborough - with the Owls picking up two victories and a draw. He's out of contract in the summer at Manchester City, and could turn out to be a permanent signing.
