'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Our Goal Of The Season!

The polls are closed, the votes have been counted and, at last, it's time to announce the results of 'Vital SWFC Goal of the Season'.

Around two thirds of Vital SWFC forum members voted for the same wonderful record-breaking goal, so the result hasn't ever really been in doubt. Tommy Spurr was the nearest challenger, his strikes against Sheffield United and Fulham garnering almost all the other votes. So, without further ado (though the picture above SHOULD have given the game away by now?!)..

Remember the commentary?

'Here's Howard, ten yards outside the Wednesday penalty area, surrounded by blue and white.. tackled by Gray. Wednesday clear over half way.. Kilgallon wins it but gives it straight to Tudgay, who now motors forward, Clarke trying to get in position for him..

And TUDGAY.. OHHHH, WHAT A GOAL! It's absolutely world class from Marcus Tudgay.. on the right boot, in the top corner, Paddy Kenny absolutely no chance! It's an absolute screamer!'

Absolutely! A sparkling highlight of an excellent season for multi-award-winning Marcus. Congratulations to him!
