'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Wednesday Target U.S. Investment

Wednesday chairman Lee Strafford embarked on a visit to North America last week to try and find investment in the club from overseas.

Strafford, along with chief executive Nick Parker, have revealed that they jetted off to the U.S. to try and attract the interest of a 'large number of potential investors' stateside.

In an interview with www.swfc.co.uk, Parker has revealed that there is still interest in the club from 'three continents' and that it's still the case.

And he insists that positive discussions have lead to parties becoming 'very, very interested' in the business plan put together by the club to show any potential investor.

Parker repeated his stance that the investor needs to be in it for the right reasons, and that the current economic climate has lead to some parties showing concerns.

But he insists that good season ticket sales over the summer could lead to potential investors looking at the club as a solid investment with a strong fanbase.

its such a refreshing change to see so much open communication between the club and its fans lets hope Nick & Lee can secure the investment to accelerate the business plan sooner rather than later

I don't normally comment on articles on the site of the city's poor relations, but how long are you gullible lot going to be hoodwinked by the latest 'chairman' who promises investment in the club? Still, I suppose he hasn't set a date for completion this time so that has to be an improvement.
