Owls Prey On Canary

Wednesday could be set to renew their interest in midfielder Wes Hoolahan after Norwich City's relegation from the Championship to League One.

Canaries boss Bryan Gunn, recently confirmed as staying on at Carrow Road, could well be resigned to losing one of his star players as a consequence of failing to keep City in the Championship.

And Hoolahan's uncertain future at Norwich has alerted the attention of a number of clubs, with Wednesday boss Brian Laws reported to be one of the interested parties.

Hoolahan was linked with a move to Hillsborough at the same time last season after enjoying a successful loan spell at Bloomfield Road with Blackpool.

But the Canaries took the chance on his services and missed his creativity in midfield when he was injured towards the end of the season.

Hoolahan is likely to command a decent fee should he move on, with him being one of a few Norwich will be able to cash in on following relegation.

Laws has already revealed he desire to strengthen the Owls' midfield, but Darren Potter is likely to make his loan spell permanent this summer, while Tommy Miller has also been linked with a move to S6.

Was he actually any good for Norwich last season?

Is there any positive Owls fans out there? It feels like there's always somebody shooting down who we're linked with. Norwich went down so he obviously didnt do brilliantly but he's a decent player and surrounded by the Mighty Owls players I'm sure he'd be a good acquisition.

if were to launch a play off campaign we dont want to be linked to people like adebola or purse, and when theyre the only players were been linked with theres no wonder there are fans that are negative!!! on the other hand i think hoolahan and miller could do a job for us!!!

Hoolahan is a good player! However, I think he'll be another good player who doesn't cut it at Hillbrough for what ever reason like so many others? He's still worth a gamble though as whenever ive seen him play he's been really creative, scores some good goals and is a good pen taker! Sayin that, we have had Deon Burton as our pen taker for the last few years so Ollie the Owl is a drastic improvement in that sense!! Sod, just sign The Owl!!

Roeder barely played Wes, despite bringing him to Carrow Road - he didn't seem to think he worked hard enough. Wes blossomed in the second half of the season and became a regular under Gunn, winning man of the match awards and impressing fans with his ability (even though he can be equally frustrating as brilliant). We're resigned to him leaving and he will bring great invention and creativity to whichever team he signs for.

Is this coming from the same pfl that wanted Blackwell out mid-way through the season??!
johnnywalker69
im not a fan johnny-boy but you have to take your blades hat off to him for what he's done. but....... he already had the players in house to do this all he's done is injected confidence!! is that really such a hard job. could he rebuild like laws has had to do on a restricted budget and board unrest?? could he hell!! (laws is doing what bassett did for us?
bladesforlife1889
will blackwell show the ability to keep us in the premiership? NW didn't have a clue over the course of the season. But...it's all looking good and all going to plan so far - burnley who are they?? exactlly!!
