Gray Pens New Owls Deal

Wednesday's former Sunderland and Wolves man Michael Gray has agreed a new one-year extension to his stay at Hillsborough.

The experienced midfielder arrived at S6 from Wolves at the start of the year on a deal until the end of last season.

An injury which prevented him finishing the campaign looked to have plunged his future into doubt.

But Owls boss Brian Laws has kept faith with Gray by today penning him to at least another season in the blue and white stripes.

Gray's shoulder injury should see him back in training for pre-season and , all going well, back into first team action in August.

Seems like Gray along with Grant, Tudgay, Miller and Purse et al know Hillsborough is the place to be next season, can't wait for the season to start already, one or two more additions to the squad especially up front then we'll be ready. Year on Year improvement we're seeing albeit not dramatic i think a play off place has got to be a realistic target next season, be interesting to see who else other than WBA drops out the prem on Sunday.

agreed sussexowl i think a couple of other good additions and keeping our best players fit and we have to be serious contenders for the playoffs

im disappointed he kept gray-thought he had a stormer against charlton and then went downhill!! the only thing id keep him for is a back up left back!!
