Blackpool Defender Linked With Owls

Blackpool Defender Linked With Owls

Blackpool defender Alex John-Baptiste is the latest name to be linked with a summer move to Wednesday.

According to our sister site Vital Blackpool, Baptiste could well be searching for a club closer to his family, with Nottingham Forest and Wednesday looking at his services.

The 23-year-old enjoyed a superb debut season for the Seasiders after making the switch from Mansfield Town at the start of last season.

But nothing is likely to be sorted out until after the management situation has been sorted out at Bloomfield Park.

And with Wednesday already having bagged the services of Darren Purse, and Lewis Buxton last season, the Baptiste rumour could be nothing more than that.

It may be just a rumour but f*** me, our defence is the strongest part of the team. Our problem is we can't score goals. Tudgay did well but his tally isn't spectacular. The other three forwards tally is p*** poor, yes they were injured but where's the guarrantee as to their fitness next season. How can I put it simply? Goalscorer, goalscorer, goalscorer for the love of god sign a feckin' GOALSCORER!

i agree i dont think we need him although we could do with another left back for cover, but we definatley need another winger and a proven goalscorer!!!

Are we still linked with Wes Hoolahan and what about Darren Ambrose? Would he be worth going after?
