Boden Latest Owl To Pen New Deal

Youngster Luke Boden has become the latest Wednesday player to pledge his future to the club by signing a new two-year deal at Hillsborough.

The 20-year-old midfielder is one of the brightest young prospects at S6 after progressing through the club's youth system.

Boss Brian Laws used the Sheffielder numerous times last season to blood him in the Championship, mainly from the bench.

And Laws has seemingly been impressed with what he's seen on the pitch and in training, with Boden following hot on the heels of Marcus Tudgay, Lee Grant, Richard Hinds and Michael Gray penning their futures to the club recently.

Boden took the 2009 Owls' young player of the season gong at the end of season awards.

Agreed he hasnt looked like a world beater so far but neither did mcallister or spurr when they first appeared on the scene. The only way to improve is through regular games, mcallister came back a different player after his loans last season and spurr wouldnt be the player he is today if we hadnt given him his chance when we were short of left-backs! If Brian has given this kid two years then he must be a decent player, have faith in the academy, MacAuley is a genious!
