Birmingham Eye Up Grant

Wednesday goalkeeper Lee Grant is the subject of interest from Premier League newcomers Birmingham City, according to the Sunday newspapers.

Grant has only recently penned a new deal at Hillsborough following his exceptional form in the Owls' number one jersey last term.

But Blues' boss Alex McLeish is looking for a successor to Maik Taylor, and is reported to have made former Derby County man Grant the top of his wanted list.

Any bid for Grant is likely to command a large fee for his services given the stopper's agreement to pen a new contract at S6 recently.

Reject ANY approach for Grant - he's an absolutely essential part of our first team. Selling him would be a huge mistake.

1.5mill in euro is what there saying no chance even if we were thinking of selling . hes worth a hell of a lot more than that.dont even think about it BL best keeper by far in champ last year

£1.5 million for a young player who's just signed a new contract. It'll take double that at least and even then we should only consider it if we can get Ian Turner from Everton (or possibly Kuzcak from MUFC) and turn a profit.

After my intial pessimism about next season, I am starting to think we have a good chance of challenging for the top 6. For this top happen there are certain players that form the spine of the squad that we need to keep. Grant is one of these. i don't care about Taylor or Kuszak or turning a profit we need to keep him. I don' t believe it anyway
