Owls Step Closer To Investment

Wednesday have taken another step towards new investment in the club by appointing a special sports focussed investment bank in New York as advisors.

The bank, Inner Circle Sports LCC, have great experience in deals regarding investments in sports clubs from America, and the announcement heightens the rumours of invnesmtment coming from across the Atlantic.

As far as Wednesday fans are concerned, the appointment will give the Owls a better chance of attracting investment from North America, and comes on the back of rumours linking Canadian Jeff Mallett with the club at the weekend.

ICS were responsible for the recent investments involving Aston Villa and Liverpool and are one of the leading companies in America for seeing through sports-based transactions.

Wednesday chairman Lee Strafford recently made a trip to America, with discussions involving Inner Circle Sports likely to have gone ahead.

The move can only be seen as a positive step towards investment and is another move forwards from Lee Strafford and Nick Parker to gaining fresh investment at S6.

Just a quote that made me laugh..."It's all or nothing for Sheffield United...they must score in the next five minutes to draw level and if they fail to do so, they cannot blame Carlos Tevez for this." Jim Proudfoot commentating for Talksport on the Championship play-off final.

the question i have is about his whole issue if tevez shouldn't have been playing or what ever why didnt the same apply to mascherano? why did united only kick off about all this when they lost on the last game of the season? would they have still kicked off had they stayed up?
