Potter Deal Still On

A deal to bring former loan midfielder Darren Potter to Wednesday on a permanent deal is still on, according to Owls' boss Brian Laws.

Laws, and chairman Lee Strafford, took time out to answer fans' questions at a specially arranged fans' forum at S6 last night, which was well attended.

And one of the questions posed to Laws was the signature of the out-of-contract Wolves man, who looked all set to pen a deal at Hillsborough at the end of the season before talks died down, in the media at least.

But Laws has always said that it could be a lengthy process to bag the midfielder, and told fans last night that he's still very interested in signing Potter, with the midfielder also keen to return.

Laws also kept fans guessing at whether he'd be making a move for Hull City's out-of-contract midfielder Ryan France.

The former Alfreton Town man has been heavily linked with a move to Wednesday this term but Laws referred to it as pure paper talk, giving no clues as to whether he'd be making a move for the Sheffielder.
