Owls' Season Ticket Pledge

Forward-thinking Wednesday have announced that next season's season ticket holders will be able to purchase a Premier League season ticket for the same price if the Owls' get promoted in the next three years.

The move is a good will gesture from the club, with the hope that Wednesday will break the 16,500 season ticket sales target that was set by chairman Lee Strafford at the end of last season.

Supporters buying a season ticket for the 2009-10 campaign will see the prices frozen should Brian Laws lead his men in to the top flight in the coming campaigns.

And Strafford won't be too worried about keeping season tickets at Championship prizes should Wednesday reach the pot of gold under the Premier League rainbow.

The move comes on the back of similar initiatives from other Football League clubs, who continue to release offers in the current financial climate.

Strafford told the official SWFC website: 'As an extra incentive to join us for what we expect to be a very exciting season ahead, I am delighted that we are able to offer all fans who commit to a season ticket by the end of June a guarantee that they will be able to buy a Premier League season ticket at 2009/10 Championship prices if we win promotion by 2012.'

ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha excellent!!! shame many of you partimers won't be taking up this deal. can't see you lot getting promoted in the next 20 years let alone the next 3 seasons. think you mickey mouse chairman is having a sneaky laugh here. mind you he is good in blackmailing the fans with improved spending budget in relation to ST sales. Don't forget he only needs to spend 1p more to stick to this promise!!

He is only 6 years old, nothing matters to him only his free season ticket each year to watch the same old tripe, big boot merchants who have'nt got a clue how to win the big games.

Don't normally post on your page, but I have to say in all seriousness that Strafford is trying really hard to whip up some interest in the old club, will the next announcement be the Arab Sheik taking over? Beware of any take over date promised though.
