Owls Legend For Spireites

Wednesday legend John Sheridan is set to return to management with League Two side Chesterfield today.

The former Owls midfielder left former club Oldham Athletic in controversial circumstances but enjoyed a successful spell at Boundary Park with the Latics.

But he's now set to move 'closer to home' with a move to Chesterfield, with whom former Owls' chairman Dave Allen is now involved, and he's set to take another former Owl with him.

Former loan goalkeeper Mark Crossley, who famously scored a goal for the Owls in their 3-3 draw with Southampton, is set to accompancy Shez as part of his coaching team.

Vital Wednesday wishes Shez all the best in his new role with the Spireites!

JS is having a quiet cup of tea with the missus talking about his new job when his mobile phone rings.......... JS: "Hello" ? DA: "Hello John its the chairman, sorry I mean it's Mr Allen" JS: "Oh hello, what can I do for you" ? DA: "Look son, don't think for one minute that I'm trying to tell you what to do, (thinks to himself "I hope he doesnt realise that is exactly what Im up to"), but when you start training the lads maybe you could use the 4-4-1 formation that Ive been thinking about" ? JS: Laughing "Yes gaffer, whatever" 15 minutes later JS is sacked for not bowing to DA's tactical nous and superior football knowledge.
