Bates Gives Owls Chairman Radio Slot

Leeds United chairman Ken Bates has had a sly dig at Owls chairman Dave Allen by offering him a slot on his new digital radio station - Yorkshire Radio.

The former Chelsea chairman has recently purchased the radio station from current Blues owner Roman Abramovic, and jokingly announced that there would be a 'Dave Allen show' on a regular basis.

He told the Yorkshire Post: 'I am planning some exciting interviews with top people at the other clubs. You can expect to have a 'Dave Allen show' on a regular basis.'

Bates famously tried to take-over the Owls early in 2004 but ended his interest after a feud with current Wednesday chairman Dave Allen - who deemed Bates 'incompatible' with the current board at Hillsborough. The war of words still continues to this day.

Bates also said Neil Warnock would be around to 'enlighten the evenings with his profound thoughts'.

"The hunt for ********** appears over when the FBI arrests a much-disliked bearded man who achieved infamy for wrecking the twin towers. Sadly, Ken Bates is later released without charge."

One time a Chelsea player said that if you told Bates you'd just been to Tenerife, he would say he's just come back from Elevenerife! Brilliant!
