Owls Fans Snap Up Season Tickets

Wednesday fans have been snapping up season tickets for the 2009/10 campaign, with this year's figure already passing the total amount sold last season.

The club announced on Friday that over 11,000 season tickets had been sold for the Owls' forthcoming Championship campaign, 11,390 by close of play, which is eight more than the total sold last term.

And there's still two months before the start of the new season, meaning Wednesday chairman Lee Strafford could well see the total edge closer to his target figure of 16,500.

The first deadline for reduced priced renewals ended on Friday, meaning the bulk of season tickets will have already been snapped up, but the club can still expect plenty more to pledge their support for the new season.

Only 6,298 season tickets were sold at the same period last year - showing a renewed spirit and optimism Wednesdayites have under the guidance of Strafford and boss Brian Laws.

but......your still 9,000 off already to what we have sold, and you have the same policy and offers. In fact your season tickets have been on sale for 3 weeks longer than ours too. almost 21,000 season tickets sold at BDTBL.

I'm sure our dear chairman is very happy with the fact we've beaten last year's total in mid-June.

What the fack are you on about you piggy t*at, your season tickets have been on sale since march before the season ends, then you lot go rushing in thinking your gonna see premiership football, only to see Burnley wack you at wembley, i wonder how many little piggys wish they could take them back. And we don't have the same offers as the pigs, only our under 8s go free unlike you lot, it's under 13s.

I think the blunts under 13 poicy is a good and forward thinking idea. Other than that you're spot on. Still believe you've no chance next season BFL?

my dad wont be renewing his sufc ticket after 5 years, fed up with boring football and a small time attitude from the club as a whole.
