Burnley Move For Tudgay

Burnley Move For Tudgay

Premier League new boys Burnley have made a £1.5 million bid for Owls' star striker Marcus Tudgay, according to reports in today's media.

Sky Sports News, as well as various other media outlets, are reporting that the Clarets have made a £1.5 million bid for the Owls' former Derby County man as they look to build their squad for survival in the top flight.

There's yet to be official confirmation from either club on the situation, but Wednesday are set to respond to the transfer speculation this week.

Tudgay was the Owls' star man last term, and Wednesdayites will be keen for last season's top scorer to remain at S6.

But should the price be right, boss Brian Laws could well cash in on Tudgay to allow him a bigger budget in the pre-season to further bolster his squad.

This is a test of how serious we are, even if they want to sell or Tudders wants to leave £1.5 mill is a joke.

i can see him going he gives it 110% every time he plays up front or on the wing dont think we should stand in his way at haveing a crack at the PREM dont want to see him going if he goes hope we get more money than that so we can get 2 players in maybe buy a striker that can score 20 goals a season not a loan player who will only do half the work tudgay puts in..BEST OF LUCK TO HIM IF HE MOVES think we can all say that hes been great

Its all well and good saying all of these things but we seem to be forgetting one thing. No matter how many times BL or LS come out saying "we are not going to become a selling club" At the end of the day if Marcus wants to go then no one at the club is going to stop him.

yeah but burnley? come on whats the point in that, yeah premier league and all that but seriously I would see it as a step down no offence burnley but he's at a bigger club now and I think he knows it, there has been speculation about him with other clubs before yet he has agreed his new contract, I think honestly he would give it one more year with us and see if we can do it next year
