Owls Hand Barbara Trial

Wednesday have put their tour to Malta to good use by giving Maltese international Etienne Barbara a two-week trial with the club.

The 27-year-old striker will be part of the Owls squad for their two-week pre-season stay in Malta but is unlikely to play a part in any matches.

The hitman has made over 30 appearances for the Malta national side having played there domestically and also in the German league but is currently a free agent.

Owls boss Brian Laws will be taking a look at Barbara during his two-week stint and will see if the striker can make the step up to feature in the Championship.

Must be one of the better players in Malta with 30 caps for his country??

He was gonna move to Dundalk in Ireland last but current club wouldnt let him. But Dundalk is no way in same league in terms of quality as the championship. But if he looks good sign up worth it for free.
