Owls Target McKenna?

Wednesday have shown an interest in bringing Preston's Paul McKenna to Hillsborough for next season, according to our sister site Vital Forest.

Our friends from the City Ground are reporting that Brian Laws is taking a look at the midfielder as Forest stall on a deal to take McKenna to the City Ground.

Laws has already snapped up Tommy Miller and Darren Potter and is also weighing up a deal for former Hull City player Ryan France, who's in trial with the Owls.

But McKenna, a vastly experienced midfielder at Championship level, is also on his list according to Vital Forest, as the Owls gaffer looks to complete his squad for the 2009-10 season.

well we dont need another midfielder-unless its a winger and mckenna isant a winger so i wouldnt welcome this move!!!!

Why would this be true? we need a STRIKER, a GOALSCORER, not another midfielder! Akpo being fit is great news but how many of us would bet good money on his lasting an entire season. The rumours about Lee Hughes are interesting, possibly to be welcomed but with Tudders now refusing to sign a new contract according to his agent, Darryl Powel (how I'm begining to hate that man), it looks increasingly likely that last years top scorer will be off. Goalscorer, Goalsorer, GOAL f***ing SCORER!

Can't believe it's true.. Laws collecting midfielders like Warnock collects strikers? Nah.

I wish we could McKenna, he's a great player, think he'll be off to Forest, though.

Decent player, if we needed a midfielder, but we don't, so I can't see it happening.

Forest have now agreed a fee!

Would much rather see a goalscorer arrive at S6 however if we do sign McKenna, i would love to read the article that the forrest vital site post about Billy Davies. The last was a classic!!
