France Set For Owls Decision

Former Hull City man Ryan France will find out if he's done enough to bag a permanent contract at Hillsborough this week.

The Sheffield-born player has been on trial at Wednesday and this week is decision time for boss Brian Laws as to whether the experienced midfielder has done enough to warrant a move to S6.

It's likely Laws will hand France a contract, with the player expected to demand relatively low wages and also command no transfer fee after having been released by the Premier League Tigers.

The player could come to S6 in a similar vein to Richard Hinds, with fans not expecting too much from France, who's a Wednesday fan, other than him being a good, experienced, squad player who can fill a variety of roles.

Strong rumour is that Woods is having a medical at Bramhall Lane as we speak and Billy Sharp coming to us.
CLIFFANDJ
i'd settle for that.
Dubai-Owl
god we cant have another owls academy grad ply his trade at utd!!
charmer
im with you dubai, we could easily replace wood and i think if we got money and sharp we would be on the better side of the deal. sharp lukd **** at bumhole lane because they play the crappy long ball, we dont, he would thrive upfront with sodje, he would be there to cause mayhem n sharp score goals. lets be serious, sharp scored sum bloody gud goals at scunny, he is a good finisher no matter where he plays. he just doesnt suit the blades and like a i said wood cud be forgotten in an instant, beevers and prurse centre backs with tommy n hinds to cover the injurys and suspensions
smiggyswfc
its lads like france that get you up a good grafter that gets stuck in sign him up better us haveing him than someone else..still on the fence about sharp id say hes on nice money at the lane do we need another player on big money that cant score goals FJ springs to mind ..but like someone said laws knows how to play him so you never know..
dublin owl
thought i was the only one who thought Sharp would be a good shout for us. not too happy about losing Wood but I agree he is not indispensable. we should make hanging on to Tommy Spurr a priority now though if this rumour is correct.
