Owls' Tudgay News Expected

Owls fans can expect some news regarding the future of star striker Marcus Tudgay 'soon', according to agent Darryl Powell.

Tudgay's future at Hillsborough has been in the balance in recent weeks following the news that Premier League new-boys Burnley had made an offer that was rejected by the Owls.

But Powell, who has been voicing his opinions on the deal throughout the saga, has revealed that he expects some news sooner rather than later.

The former Derby player-turned agent has already revealed that Tudgay, also a former Derby man, could hand in a transfer request should the Owls deny him a move to Turf Moor.

But there's also the possibility that last season's top scorer could have penned a new deal with Wednesday - a deal he said he'd like to sign before the Burnley saga started.

Powell wins either way.. care to be a bit more specific about the kind of news we should expect, Darryl? No? Thought not.

The only good news for all concerned would be if Tudders sacked his agent.

i hope its hes gone to burnley for £2million+ and ill be very happy-not that i dislike him but i think we could do with some free funds because our current squad is nowhere near play-off level. for a start off weve only got 2 winger-cud do with at least 1 more!!!

Johnson, Esajaas, Grey...don't think our wings are lookin to bad- i'm more concrened with the lack of a 15+ goals per season striker....Sodje is tht preson IF he could stay fit- but we all know he won't play 35+ games.

grey-seriously???? sorry but i wouldnt have offered him another contract. we need a better winger!!!! preferably 1 that can play both wings-but i do agree with everything else ya said johnswfc

If Tudgay happens to go it seems we have found a replacement according to Sky Sports... 'Reports in France have claimed that Sheffield Wednesday are in advanced talks to sign Marseille midfielder Elliot Grandin'. This guy apparently plays wide right, or upfront.

Just seen this, does anyone know anything about him??
Bognor_Owl
If you believe anything written on Wikipedia it pretty much says he's a young player with bags of potential and awesome technique, I think he's very quick too. Sounds very good in my opinion, if we can get him signed along with Saganowski and France I'll be very pleased for the start of the season.
Danigol_10_SWFC
Sounds promising!! France is a must in my book. Hopefully get him signed and sort the Tudders situation out sooner rather than later, then roll on Barnsley!!!
Bognor_Owl
ive always said saganowski would be a good signing. would he command a fee???

One of my friends went out to Malta with the squad and asked Laws about the Tudgay situation. Laws was quite honest and said that we wouldnt accept anything less than 3m for him, this is due to the fact that Derby County added a sell on clause in the contract when we bought him, and are due a percentage of the sale.

if the bloke dont want to play for us then get shut just remind the selfish tw*t which club pulled him out of the **** and stood by him when he was playing crap its ok blaming his ****head agent but he agreed the contract and then didnt sign. i dont think i could give him my support if he did stay
