Owls Linked With Pole

Southampton's Polish international striker Marek Saganowski is the latest striker to be linked with a move to Wednesday.

Reports today have linked the Saints hitman with moves to stay in the Championship with Wednesday and Swansea City as Southampton prepare for life in League One.

But, despite Southampton's current financial situation, Alan Pardew wants to keep hold of one of his key players, which could mean Wednesday could be priced out.

Wednesday boss Brian Laws has already revealed his desire to add a striker to his squad for the new season, with Victor Anichebe linked.

But rumours of a swoop for the Everton man have gone quiet, although they could re-kindle should Marcus Tudgay leave S6 for Burnley, leaving Wednesday short in attacking options.

Uncle's a Saints season ticket holder and apparently he's a primadonna who only puts effort in when they're winning...which wasn't very often last season! Don't think we want one like that no matter how talented on paper!
