Owls Set For Cobblers Test

Wednesday boss Brian Laws is set to field a strong squad for the pre-season clash with Northampton Town at Sixfields tonight.

Laws was pleased with the way his troops performed in the 0-0 stalemate with Premier League side Hull City at Hillsborough on Saturday, and he'll be fielding a similar side against the Cobblers tonight.

But Tommy Miller won't feature in the blue and white stripes as Laws maintains a cautious approach with players that are yet to reach full fitness ahead of the new season.

Northampton have already proved a tough test for Championship opposition when Coventry City ran out 2-1 winners in a close-fought clash recently.

Tonight's game is the penultimate friendly clash for the Owls' first string, although Laws has admitted that he's arranging another, behind closed doors friendly for next week.
