Owls Target Set For QPR
Wednesday's reported loan target Jay Simpson, of Arsenal, is set to end speculation about his future by joining Championship rivals Queens Park Rangers on a season-long loan deal.
The Arsenal youngster was the the Premier League name linked with a loan move to Hillsborough after Brian Laws revealed he was looking to bolster his attacking options.
But Jim Magilton looks to have beat off competition from various other clubs, thought to include Wednesday, to bag the youngster's signature.
Simpson was thought to have held talks with Owls boss Brian Laws last week, but the youngster had other clubs to talk to, including Rangers.
Whether Laws will turn his attentions elsewhere, with Luke Varney arriving on a half-season loan move last week, is unknown.
