Owls' Ticket Offers For Unemployed

Wednesday have taken a positive step forward in attracting fans back to Hillsborough during the recession by offering special match offers for unemployed Wednesday fans.

With chairman Lee Strafford's aim of putting the club back into the heart of the community, Wednesday are offering tickets in the north west corner of Hillsborough for just £10 for the unemployed.

Tickets will be available for all those receiving a Job Seekers Allowance and start for this Saturday's home clash against Nottingham Forest in the Championship.

Families on low incomes are also set to benefit from the new initiatives by the club by being able to purchase family tickets for £30 for up to two adults and two children.

And the club are hoping to run the offer at as many home games as possible after being given the go-ahead to use the north west corner of the stadium once again.

For full details of the offer, see the official website at www.swfc.co.uk or call the club direct.

Don't they realise the recession is affecting us all? I work, yet can't afford to take my son to see the wizards, yet the unemployed get in for £10!!

I thought mr Strafford said that this season they would be no offers to wednesday fans, not more lies.

Where the f00k do you get off calling people " work shy scum" Ozzie ? I want to work but cant due to reasons I could go into but why the f00k should I have to justify that to you ? Its about time the club did something for the unemployed and if you dont like it tough ****, take it up with Lee Strafford because the likes of me dont care what you think.

Jeesus, there are some whiners around. It's a good idea. Live with it.

Does this mean Bryan Robson can get in for free. Only fair I suppose after we helped put him on the dole.

calm down skeg i never aimed anything at yourself so wind your freekin neck in, if you are genuinly unable to work then that is unfortunate and i feel for you. what i disagree with is rewarding the unemployed, there are planty of jobs out there if people really want to work, the problem is this country has a culture problem. how about cheap tickets for those on disability allowance etc.
