Former Owl Takes Tykes Post

Former Owl Takes Tykes Post

Former Wednesday striker Mark Robins has been changing teams in South Yorkshire again - this time being confirmed manager of Championship rivals Barnsley.

Robins has been involved in a long process of being Reds boss, leaving his post at Rotherham United for the Championship, and leaving them top of the table.

The former Manchester United man made 14 league starts for the Owls, scoring three goals, during a six-month stint between December 2003 and July 2004.

And he'll be charged with the job of turning Barnsley's fortunes around, with the Oakwell club sitting bottom of the Championship.
