Warnock Pays Tribute To Laws

Warnock Pays Tribute To Laws

Crystal Palace boss and avid Sheffield United fan Neil Warnock has paid tribute to Owls boss Brian Laws ahead of tonight's Championship clash at Selhurst Park.

Warnock, who often got the upper hand in Sheffield derby clashes during his time at the helm at Bramall Lane, is looking forward to tonight's clash against a Wednesday side who he admits have a manager who believes in playing football the right way.

No doubt some anti-Warnock and anti-Blades songs will be rung out in the away end at Selhurst Park tonight, as both sides look to continue from their weekend victories.

But the Palace boss has a respect for the Owls, and boss Laws, which has come to the forefront since departing Bramall Lane for London.

'The Wednesday camp will be buoyed by their result against Cardiff and I know it is always a good game against Sheffield Wednesday as Brian Laws believes in his teams playing good football,' he told Yahoo Sport.

He continued: 'It is a long trek down to Selhurst for their fans but they will be looking forward to it after seeing their side get such a good result at the weekend.'

Let's hope Laws proves Warnock right tonight with a superb performance, and three points to show for it...
