Newcastle Boxing Day Clash Moved For Sky

Wednesday's home clash with Newcastle United on Boxing Day has been moved for Sky TV coverage.

The clash will now kick-off at 12.45pm on the same day, instead of the 3pm kick-off, with Sky favouring the clash for live TV coverage.

Not the ideal move given the time of year, but Wednesday will no doubt profit from some extra income from Sky, and money talks in this day and age.

Entirely typical, this is the Newcastle United Championship (trade mark by Sky) after all.

I suspect that the attendance will not be the bumper holiday crowd that was hoped for.

Why not? its only an 2 and 1/4 hour earlier.

Of course it's going to be a full ground. Newcastle will sell their 6k allocation and i still expect 30k plus for the game. We always get a bumper crowd on Boxing Day and because this is agianst the Toon, it's going to be bigger than usual!
will it ever happen
Don't start talking about the attendance being affected, you'll upset Strafford!
