'If It's Football, It's Vital'

EE, By Gum!

Owls winger Etienne Esajas flew into the top 100 of the Actim Index this month.

The Dutchman was the second highest points scorer in the latest edition of the Index (behind Newcastle's Kevin Nolan), his sublime display against Cardiff propelling him up 164 places to #91, in addition to winning the Owls Player of the Month award for September. Keep it up, young fella, we need consistent performances from you.

Wednesday's other standout performer is, as always, Marcus Tudgay, who is #2 on the striker list (behind Watford's Danny Graham) and #5 on the Index overall. His fantastic run in the PFA Fans' Player of the Month award continues too: five goals in ten appearances through the opening games of the season saw him top the Owls scoring chart, and grab the honours.

Other Owls players in the Actim Top 100 are Tommy Spurr (#34), Darren Potter (#36), Michael Gray (#68), Richard Wood (#87) and Lee Grant (#93).

Well done to all! Check out all the Actim Index details here.

Am I alone in not giving a toss about this? League positions matter, that's it. We're 16th and need to start winning.

Means little in the great scheme of things I guess, rob, but doesn't Laws use these stats as part of his training? Sure he uses opta, and some other compuet stats program (forget its name). Not saying that helps him pick the team at all, but I guess it's pretty important.

I think it's called Prozone Nick.....but these stats are meaningless really. EE might has well have not been on the pitch against Derby. He needs to show that he can do the business for more than a couple of games.

It's an international week, it's something to write about :)
