Young Owls Stopper Seals Town Switch

Young Wednesday goalkeeper Arron Jameson has secured a loan switch to Conference North side Harrogate Town in a bid to get more first team action.

Jameson, a product of the Wednesday Academy, is way down to pecking order in terms of breaking in to the Owls first team, but has a bright future in the game according to boss Brian Laws.

And he'll be looking to repeat the success of his last loan move, which saw him take the Ilkeston Town goalkeepers jersey and help them to promotion from the UniBond Premier Division last season.

Laws told the official SWFC website: 'Arron continues to show a lot of promise and we are very pleased with his development.

'He did extremely well for Ilkeston last season and this loan move to Harrogate will give him the chance to get some more first team football under the belt.'

Town are currently struggling at the wrong end of the Conference North, sitting 19th with three wins, a draw, and eight defeats from their opening 12 matches.

Jameson could go straight into the Harrogate side which faces Droylsden in the league tomorrow.
