Owls Reveal Squad Virus

Wednesday have revealed that a virus has swept through the squad in the week running up to tomorrow's Championship clash with Bristol City.

The club have informed the Football League ahead of the trip to Ashton Gate, and have revealed that 'several' players have come down with the virus this week, or have shown early signs of being struck with it.

Wednesday haven't yet revealed the names of players infected, but midfield pair Darren Potter and James O'Conner are thought to be two struggling ahead of the trip to Bristol.

Manager Brian Laws told the official SWFC site: 'Several players are already affected and two more appear to be carrying the symptoms of the virus. We have notified the Football League of the situation as a matter of course and will continue to provide any further necessary updates.'

The club have revealed that they've taken precautions to stop the virus from spreading further.

In desperation, youngsters Nick Wood, Max Wragg, Callum Harrison and Nathan Modest could feature in thew squad tomorrow.

So, it looks like the kids might have to be alright...
