Young Owls Smashed by Sunderland
Sheffield Wednesday's Under 18s team were outclassed by table-topping Sunderland at Middlewood Road.
The 6-0 scoreline was just desserts for Wednesday, who put up little resistance to a merciless young Black Cats outfit.
This result was Wednesday's fifth defeat in a row and it appears their golden generation aren't fulfilling their potential.
Of course results aren't everything at this level. The performances of individuals has been impressive at times this season, but as a team they're struggling, with only one win so far this season.
Next up is a trip to Leeds United, where McAuley and his team will be hoping to get back on track.
