Laws Disappointed For Owls

Wednesday boss Brian Laws was left disappointed for his players after revealing he was 'delighted with the performance against a very good side' in their 2-1 defeat against Q.P.R.

The Owls dropped maximum points at home for the second match on the spin, leaving them with just one win from their last seven Championship matches.

And he told the official SWFC website that he felt his men did enough to warrant something from the match.

'I am disappointed for the players because they have put in a good shift and done enough to win the game.

'This is the second home game we have had our pockets pinched after the last game against Preston. It would be nice to go somewhere and pick someone else's pocket, so now it's up to us to respond.'

The Owls now go into a two-week break for international matches looking over their shoulders at the wrong end of the division.

And Laws will be looking for a response in front of the Sky TV cameras again when the Owls face Ipswich Town next time out.
