Notts County Wood Deal Done?

Wednesday's want-away defender Richard Wood has put pen-to-paper on a deal with League Two side Notts County, according to media reports today.

This morning's media are reporting that transfer-listed Wood has agreed a deal with money-bags County after failing to agree a new contract with Wednesday.

The Sun report also states he turned down offers from Ipswich Town, Coventry City and Sheffield United for the County move.

Of course, you can't always believe what you read, but the Wakefield-born stopper has been heavily linked with County since being transfer-listed by boss Brian Laws last month.

If it's true, and it's beginning to sound more credible as time goes on, good riddance. Obviously the man has little ambition and is all about money, unless he thinks that Notts County will get to the Prem before we do?

Said on another thread whichever of the 4 teams interested he picks there's a chance he'll be in League 1 next year
wesp
Heard reports saying QPR are about to sign him
COD EYE
It is all about money, don't be so surprised. Ambition? Be realistic, Wood is a fairly decent Championship player no more. He's never going to get into a premiership starting 11 so therefore why sign for a top championship team cos next season he'll be in the reserves. Wood obviously realises this and is now trying to maximise his earnings before he's finished. What would you do if you realised you could treble your wages doing the same thing?

it was also in the mirror today. sounds like multiple sources are reporting it, so no smoke without fire. its a good job hes left due to his ambition for bigger and better and not the money :)

Good luck Woody, the team WILL miss you. Oh and Wesp, yes he might be in League One next season. the only down side though is that so might we be !

I hope this deal is done. I only want to see players who want to play for the club. He's a disloyal money grabbing *****. Good riddance as far as im concerned.
