Wood Set For Coventry Switch

Wednesday's transfer-listed defender Richard Wood is set for a move to Championship rivals Coventry City within the next two weeks.

The Sky Blues are looking to bag the centre-back on loan until January and make the switch permanent in the January transfer window, something which the Owls also favour.

And any deal will have to be done by Thursday, November 26, which is the deadline to make loan deals before the new year.

Chris Coleman has been interested in the Wakefield-born defender for over a year now and has already been unsuccessful in his attempts to lure the 24-year-old to the Ricoh Arena.

It should be more straightforward this time though, with Wood preferring a move to City than other interested parties.

League Two side Notts County are understood to have enquired about Wood, while Ipswich Town and Sheffield United were also thought to be interested.

With no match this weekend due to the international matches, we could have seen Woody in the blue and white stripes, or the dark blue variety at least, for the last time.

Go back to your sty PFL....... you're nothing but a hypocrite anyway.... you've come on here and done enough name-calling and cursing in your time. The words stones and glass houses come to mind...

As long as Wood goes quickly, get another experienced CB on loan to do job that Purse is supposed to have done, then use money in Jan on a striker

Also wish option 1 would have won for next years away kit

Didn't realise you actually had learning difficulties PFL, I just thought you were a bit thick.

I haven't seen the result of the away kit, which one won? I liked the one with white socks, a lot of successful sides have white socks so they should suit us just fine!
Hirsty's Shinpads
the one with the white socks came last, it was rigged though that one and the one i voted for were too simular, split the vote. Pinstripe yellow on black won like another one of our old kits think it was 93 or 94 ish
