Owls Look For Sodje Loan

Wednesday boss Brian Laws is looking to send injury-plagued striker Akpo Sodje out on a short-term loan to get him back to full fitness.

The former Port Vale man has struggled for full fitness at Hillsborough recently but Laws has steadily brought him back into the squad this season.

But the Owls boss is keen to see him playing week-in, week-out, and will look to loan the striker out for a month to help him back to full fitness.

'We need Akpo to get some games under his belt, score a few goals, get back on track and regain that tempo - he has been lacking that a bit,' he told the Sheffield Star.

'It could do him the world of good to go on loan for 28 days and come back fit and on fire.'

There should be some interested in Sodje from clubs in League 1 and League 2.

But the club will have to act fast if they want to get him out on loan sooner rather than later, with the loan deadline fast approaching.

I understand the blunts don't have any strikers
Brighton Owl
We'll have him. He's big, and would be a target that we'd try (stress the word try) to hit from 60 yards. Pretty much fits the criteria for us!
shepsblade
nah wouldnt bother sheps the ball will hit him but he cant keep it

What about the Millers? Ronnie Moore likes big strikers who can't hit a barn door from 5 yards out
herringthorpe
Looks like he's off to Charlton.
